At various stages during the year or so the quilts took to make, they were thrown around the room to try to plan and harmonise the colour scheme.

A mixture of completed quilts and fabric. The quilts were not designed, nor was the fabric sourced or the quilts quilted, in the order within the gallery. At any given time, adjacent quilts were in various stages of completion.

An important aim was to always have a quilt tacked up and ready to quilt, so that any spare time could be used efficiently by just picking up the hoop and quilting. Keeping the 'production line' flowing was a fairly difficult task given the organic, evolving nature of both the designs and the gallery.
